Hôm trước đang triển khai đề Unemployment Rates among Young Adults tự dưng tìm ra bài này. Mình thấy nội dung cũng khá hay và nhiều cụm từ dùng được.

Đoạn 1:

Eurostat estimates that 22.497 million men and women in the EU-28[1], of whom 17.240 million were in the euro area (EA-19)[2], were unemployed in October 2015. Compared with September 2015, the number of persons unemployed decreased by 36,000 in the EU-28 and by 13,000 in the euro area. Compared with October 2014, unemployment fell by 1,942,000 in the EU-28 and by 1,302,000 in the euro area.

– It is estimated that… => Dùng Empty Subject với một số trường hợp Passive Voice.
– … nearly 22.000 million men and women => Chú ý là không viết millions mà phải là million + Đơn Vị.
– be unemployed/ jobless… => Cách diễn đạt dễ nhớ.
– Compared with/ In comparison with + 2015,… => Mình hay để ở vế sau còn họ bốc lên đầu. Ngoài ra họ đưa trực tiếp năm vào phía sau không cần phải that of/ those of như trong Task 2.
– The number of persons/ people unemployed… => Chỗ này là Reduced Relative Clause theo kiểu (who were) unemployed…
– … decreased/ fell by xxx => Nhớ là Verb + by và Noun + of. Ngoài ra, dùng unemployment ở đầu rất hay.

Đoạn 2:

Among the Member States, the lowest unemployment rates in October 2015 were recorded in Germany (4.5%), the Czech Republic (4.7 %) and Malta (5.1%), and the highest in Greece (24.6% in August 2015) and Spain (21.6%).

– Among…, the lowest unemployment rate(s)… => Lôi một thằng đột biến ra nghe cũng ổn với dạng Bar Chart.
– … be recorded in German (4.5%) => Thường người ta hay dùng , at 4.5% in… nhưng dùng mở ngoặc cũng được.
– Để ý nửa vế sau được rút gọn chỉ đơn giản là the highest in Greece…

Đoạn 3:

In October 2015, 4.530 million young persons (under 25) were unemployed in the EU-28, of whom 3.148 million were in the euro area. Compared with October 2014, youth unemployment decreased by 466,000 in the EU-28 and by 191,000 in the euro area. In October 2015, the youth unemployment rate was 20.0% in the EU-28 and 22.3% in the euro area, compared with 21.7% and 23.3% respectively in October 2014. In October 2015, the lowest rates were observed in Germany (7.1%), Austria (10.4%), Denmark (10.9%) and the Netherlands (11.6%), and the highest in Greece (47.9% in August 2015), Spain (47.7%), Croatia (43.1% in the third quarter 2015) and Italy (39.8%).

– … xxx million young persons (under 25) were unemployed… => Dùng con số làm Subject. Simon có nói qua vấn đề này.
– youth unemployment decreased by => Thay đổi từ trong cụm Compound Noun cũng là cách paraphrase đơn giản.
– the youth unemployment rate was A% in X and B% in Y => Để ý là was thay vì were.
– … compared with x% and y% respectively in 2014. => Mình hay dùng khi bí cách diễn đạt. Thu gọn lại là tốt nhất.
– The lowest rates were observed in Germany (7.1%)… => Từ này hay. Thường mình chỉ dùng witnessed, seen.
